What effect did the COVID19 pandemic have on Irish social media use? Ipsos MRBI have released their July 2020 Ireland social media stats and social messaging stats, gathered from August 2019 - June 2020 (detailed below). 

IPSOS mrbi have released social media statistics for Ireland in their, 'Dec 2019 Social Networking Tracker' and 'Dec 2019 Social Messaging' reports, showing that both LinkedIn and Pinterest recorded increases of 5% for account ownership in December 2019. LinkedIn now holds a 35% account ownership. ​

IPSOS mrbi have released social media statistics for Ireland in their, 'June 2019 Social Networking Tracker' and 'June 2019 Social Messaging' reports, showing a significant 4% increase in Instagram account ownership.  ​
