Cork Digital Marketing Awards

What a night on Friday 28th September in the Rochestown Park Hotel! The 2018 Cork Digital Marketing Awards took place, and it was certainly a night to remember.

SmartFox was a finalist in the Best Website (New Business) Category, alongside a range of great new businesses. Alas, no joy for us, but congrats to the winners Procuro Physical Therapy Cork and to the rest of the nominees. Not a bad achievement for any new business!

The event itself has certainly grown enormously from the inaugural awards ceremony back in 2013. I remember it well, as it was an afternoon lunch in the Kingsley. I attended and represented Morgan McKinley as we were finalists in best Website (20 Employees or More) category (Castlemartyr Hotel won), and I was also there with my first ever client, Lucky Meadows Equestrian Centre as we were finalists in the Best Zero Budget Digital Marketing Campaign (we didn't win that one either and I can't remember who won that one!) 

The Cork Digital Marketing Scene
Possibly, we tend to forget just how much website and digital marketing talent is in Cork as we're so busy getting on with our day jobs. But when you are in a room packed full of digital marketers, agencies and clients, it is very tangible indeed. The Cork Digital Marketing Awards are a great celebration (a cliche I know, but it's true!) of all that is great about our own digital marketing industry in Cork. 

Huge well done and pat on the back to Aoife and her team in Cork Chamber of Commerce for creating such a huge event, year in, year out. And to Rochestown Park Hotel for superb food. 

Onwards and upwards! Roll on CDMA 2019!
